Energy efficient
Our aluminium bifold doors achieve U-values of 1.6 W/m2k whilst our uPVC variants can be fitted with Recycled Composite Materials for an additional thermal performance boost.
Bifold doors boast a sumptuously slender framework, creating an elegant appearance whilst simultaneously allowing huge amounts of light into your home. But thankfully, light is the only thing that they’ll let into your home. Thanks to a weatherproof design and the latest security hardware, which includes toughened glass and a shootbolt locking system, the wind, rain, and any unwanted guests will remain outside.
When fully opened, however, your home will be totally exposed to the outdoors, blurring the lines between the inside and outside. Our customers can choose from either uPVC or aluminium bifold doors, both of which are renowned for their thermally efficient designs. With energy bills rising, there’s never been a better time to upgrade.

With a variable number of door leaves, numerous opening configurations, and a variety of colours to choose from, the design of our bifold doors is incredibly versatile.
Aluminium and uPVC do not attract dirt easily and when the time comes to clean either material, both can be wiped clean with similar ease.
If wheelchair or ease of access is required, our bifold doors are available with a low threshold.

Bifold are doors that are fashioned from a series of panels that fold up together like a concertina, when open. They can be made from 3, 4, 5, or even 6 panels and slide along a track to open. Bifold doors are extremely popular as they open 90% of the entryway, perfectly blending your garden and home. However, a traffic door can be installed to allow you through to the garden easily without having to open up the entire door.
Dependent on your preferred configuration, the smallest recommended opening for a new set of bifolds is 1400mm (55 inches), consisting of two separate 700mm wide door leaves.
Bifold or sliding doors: which option is right for my home?Bifold doors can open inwards and outwards, depending on your specific requirements. They can either slide and stack inwards into the home or outwards into the garden, however, most homeowners choose an outwards opening bifold door as if they opened into the home it can take up necessary space.
Far from it! Bifold doors have never been more popular with Buckinghamshire homeowners. With their slim frames and expansive glazing, they can transform a kitchen, extension, garden and more.
They are also available in a range of modern, fashionable colours. Black bifold doors, for example, are especially popular for the sleek, minimalist and architectural aesthetics they provide.
View more Aluminium DoorsIf you are installing bifold doors as part of an extension or other major building project, it is important to ensure that you comply with all necessary regulations and obtain any required planning permission. However, in most cases, bifold doors installed as a standalone project are covered by permitted development rights and do not require planning permission.
While you may not always need a structural engineer for bifold door installations, it is important to consult with a qualified professional to ensure that the installation is safe, compliant with regulations, and structurally sound.
